MT Højgaard is to complete the construction of BESTSELLER's office building

Fashion company BESTSELLER wants to gather more than 800 employees in a new office building. The complex is designed by Aarhus-based C.F. Møller Architects and will include administration services, office space, showrooms, etc. The office building will have a total floor area of around 22,000 square metres, prominently located at the Aarhus waterfront. MT Højgaard is also to complete the construction of an approximately 24,500 square metres car park - a contract which MT Højgaard had already been awarded together with Züblin. The building has been partly erected by another contractor, but when he went bankrupt, BESTSELLER selected MT Højgaard to complete the construction.

BESTSELLER wants contemporary and efficient surroundings and attaches great importance to energy efficient solutions such as ground water cooling systems, solar cells and triple glazed windows to ensure that the building meets the requirements for low energy class 2015.

MT Højgaard has built several large headquarters and office buildings for customers focusing on quality and future-proofing in terms of layout and the environment. This goes, for example, for accountancy firm KPMG's new headquarters at Flintholm in the Copenhagen borough of Frederiksberg, DONG Energy's offices in Gentofte and the Novo Nordisk Campus in Bagsværd; in March 2014, MT Højgaard will begin to build Nordea's new headquarters in North Ørestad in Copenhagen.

The construction work required to complete BESTSELLER's building will begin straight away and end in spring 2015. The contract is a main contract with a value of DKK 530 million distributed over the construction period. It does not give rise to any changes in previously published forecasts for 2013.
