The housing association Aarhus Omegn has today announced that Enemærke & Petersen – a subsidiary of the MT Højgaard Group – has been chosen as the contractor for one of the multi-trades contracts for the planned refurbishment of the Rosenhøj building complex in Aarhus, comprising 840 homes in 27 four-storey residential blocks built in 1967-70.

54,000 m2 of facades will be refurbished, and five blocks will undergo significant reconstruction. A further 11 new blocks will be built, each with three homes and a total floor area of 3,700 m2. The project also comprises alteration of the building complex's outdoor areas. The refurbishment will be carried out in stages over a three year period and is due for completion at the beginning of 2017.

The client chose Enemærke & Petersen on the basis of price, quality, organisation and execution method.

- We are proud to have been chosen for this large-scale project which will bring new values to the many residents of the Rosenhøj building complex. We look forward to a good collaboration with the client, the client's consultants and the other parties involved in the project, says CEO Svend R. Hartmann, Enemærke & Petersen.

The project in Aarhus is the latest in a series of similarly large-scale refurbishment contracts that Enemærke & Petersen has won in recent years, among which are Vapnagård in Helsingør and Sønderparken in Fredericia.

The contract is expected to be signed when the deadline for objections has expired. The agreement is expected to have a positive impact on MT Højgaard's revenue and profit during the construction period, but does not change previously published financial expectations.
