The Board of Directors of MT Højgaard A/S has appointed Egil Mølsted Madsen as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for MT Højgaard A/S and the MT Højgaard Group. He succeeds Flemming Steen, who stepped down at the end of April 2013. Egil M. Madsen will take up his position at the latest by 1 December 2013.

Egil M. Madsen has been the CFO of DAKO since 2011. In 2000-2011 he was employed at FLSmidth & Co., where he took on increasing responsibility, most recently as Vice President & CFO, Global Customer Service. Egil M. Madsen was previously an accountant with City Revision, and later Ernst & Young, from 1989 to 2000. He was born in 1965, graduated in Business Administration and Auditing from Copenhagen Business School in 1994 and became a state-authorised public accountant in 2000.

– It is well-known that MT Højgaard has been through a difficult period, and that the management has made major changes to the company strategy, organisation and operation. We have progressed a long way with the reorganisation, but there are still significant tasks to be carried out in order to recreate satisfactory earnings. The Board of Directors are confident that Egil M. Madsen is the right man in the CFO position and can play a key role in both the reorganisation and the future MT Højgaard, says the Chairman of the Board of Directors Søren Bjerre-Nielsen.

From no later than December 1st 2013, the formal management of the MT Højgaard Group and the parent company MT Højgaard A/S will consist of President and CEO Torben Biilmann (CEO), Chief Financial Officer Egil Mølsted Madsen (CFO) and Chief Operating Officer Søren Ulslev (COO).
